Natasha Featured in New Dance Dance Revolution Game

Natasha is ready for a REVOLUTION! Well, a Dance Dance Revolution anyway. Natasha's Pocket Full of Sunshine is be featured in Konami's latest installment of this music and dance game craze. Dance Dance Revolution will feature 20 tracks of original music composed by the Bemani development team as well as songs by artists Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Black Eyed Peas,Vanilla Ice, Coldplay, Ne-yo and others. In addition to the classic play that players are used to, the Wii version, will challenge players with the new Balance Board Mode. Players utilize their hips, waist and hands with the Wii Balance Board™ and Nunchuk in a fun high energy, low impact workout. Natasha Takes a Stand Against Modern Slavery

Natasha is featured in the film Call Response, which aims to bring to light the current world crisis of human trafficking. The film reveals there are more slaves today than ever before in human history. Call Response goes deep undercover where slavery is thriving from the child brothels of Cambodia to the slave brick kilns of rural India to reveal that in 2007, Slave Traders made more money than Google, Nike and Starbucks combined. Natasha's performance, as well as performances by other artists such as Moby, Cold War Kids, Matisyahu, Imogen Heap, and Talib Kweli attempt to connect the music of the American slave fields to the popular music we listen to today. Natasha Bedingfield struck gold last night when she took home two of the highest honors at the annual BMI London Awards dinner. Her hit single "Pocketful of Sunshine" won the Robert S Musel award for song of the year as well as the "College Song of the Year" award. The event is intended to honor the most successful UK and European songwriters, composers, and music publishers, and we congratulate Natasha on the win!

Hi my peeps! I am waist deep in the joys of album writing land at the moment. This is my favourite part of being an artist ... the creating! When i get in the flow I really throw myself heart and soul in. Its nice to put aside the promotion side of my career and really focus on what attracted me to music in the first place. Im really enjoying making music for music sake, the honesty of that, the digging deep and not focussing on my own image and how I present my songs but on the making of the actual material. Its a time to think outside of the box. To challenge my self, to get inspired.

Ive been looking through old record shops, tearing out pages from fashion mags, thumbing through art that says something like Banksy's stuff and doing my own photography, dreaming up ideas and seeing what they inspire.

im also inspired by the people I collabarate with. Danielle brisebois and John shanks - both insanely talented, Wycleff - he is so wise. Estelle my brit sista who also had a massive hit in us radio last year like me.

pictured below.. i wrote with sam sparro... love him. Sia, such a truly beautiful soul, shes one of my favourite artists. At this stage its all about just writing and collabaration and making music im into.

Thank you all for your patience. Especially those fans in Europe waiting patiently while I've been away in the states. Im still part way through making this album so it wont be until the end of the year that i start really introducing it,

But i promise to try to keep you included in the process and progress over the next half a year.

“My favorite Natasha music video is “Pocketful of Sunshine”. It really seems to give of the same message that the song does: Sometimes when things are getting rough, you just need to get away from it all. Life can be stressful sometimes, and you need to find some time to release all of those worries and pent up frustration. I can relate to this because school always causes stress, especially with the end of the school year coming around. However, I try to spend most of my spare time relaxed, as if I was in another world, and that’s pretty much what both the song and the video are saying. It’s definitely a very inspiring music video.”

"My favourite video by Natasha Bedingfield is undoubtedly "Soulmate". I chose this video because it isn't a video that you're expected to just sit back and watch, it's a profound video with a profound message where you're expected to think. It's not just a video where Natasha stands there and looks pretty (even though she does look pretty!) It's the perfect embodiment of the song - a song that yearns to find the perfect person and play the perfect game of love. It has interspersed images of icons we associate with love; the love hearts; the statue of the groom and bride (normally seen on wedding cakes); the kissing couple - it makes love almost feel like a product that we all want to buy into, but not all of us are fortunate enough to be able to afford it - or at least be able to get the best quality.

I must admit the Soulmate video was a pleasant surprise because it's so rare to see such thought provoking videos these days, and just like the song it was so clearly open to interpretation. It added ammunition to the fact that Natasha isn't just a run-of-the-mill popstar, she is a true passionate singer whose songs are well thought out, easily relateable, and reflect genuine musings of a lyrical genius."

ULTIMATE NATASHA SINGLE: POLL RESULTS NOW IN!

....And in 1st place with 20% of your votes was....UNWRITTEN! The third single from her debut album of the same name, Unwritten was co-written by Natasha for her younger brother Joshua's 14th birthday. It reached Number 6 in the UK charts and it also scored Natasha her first Top 10 hit in the US!

Jess says, "Every time I hear it I always get a smile across my face because the lyrics make sense to my life. Since "coming out of the closet" I've been getting bullied and when I listen to Unwritten it shows me that everyday is new."

Bailey says, "This single is my absolute favourite because it's a beautiful song! It has such a good meaning, it's inspirational. Its saying only you can choose how you make your future. Even if things seem bad, the future can get brighter. I'm trying to get good grades in high school, and this song is helping me along."

"Without a doubt, 'Soulmate' is my favourite single from Natasha. There aren't many pop songs in my collection that draw as much of an emotional response from me as 'Soulmate' does. Being single, a bit of loneliness always crawls up inside of me. I see my friends finding love and happiness, and I ask myself, "Why is that not me? Why am I not with someone right now? Where is that someone for me?"

"And then I hear a song like "Soulmate", and it just cuts so unbelievably deep into where I'm at as a person. When Natasha sings the line "Who doesn't long for someone to hold", I feel like she's channeling me. She's asking the question I always ask.

Hey there! It has been a while since I blogged! I probably should let every one know personally on-line aye?!

Here we go

So,I went and got myself hitched! I'm on my honeymoon right now. Justwanted to tell all of you the news personally. I'm a Mrs. now! I'm sohappy. I was single for a long time and I truly enjoyed it that but Ihave to say that I just couldn't resist falling for Matt. My firstever radio hit 'single' says 'I don't need another half to make mewhole' and I still think that is true but I will add to that.. havingan 'other half' definitely makes my life a 'whole' lot more fun. Weare having such a magical time here on our honeymoon. Will be back soonin LA and London writing my next record. Also, I will post some morevideo blogs and pictures online soon.

Also my song 'soulmate' has started playing on US radio.It was the first song I wrote on my second album and one of myfavorites. Its interesting that I wrote this song before I met Matt andit's about longing to find someone that understands you, who knows howto love you; and now it is being played on radio just as its comingtrue for me. I love that about songs... its as if they can predict thefuture.

When I was making the video for the song a year ago,the director, Mark Pellington's parting salutation to Matt was, 'takemy advice Matt, put a f*XXing ring on her finger!' He recognized beforewe did that we were soulmates.

Natasha on Confessions of a Shopaholic

Watch out for Natasha on the soundtrack to the upcoming motion picture release of ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’.

Joining the likes of Lady Gaga and The Pussycat Dolls who also feature on the CD, Natasha will sing the new track ‘Again’ which she recorded especially for the film.

We’ll have a preview of ‘Again’ coming to Natasha’s official media player next week.

Soulmate is my favourite song on this album. It's about that basic human desire we all have for
connection with someone. To be understood, held, loved in the way that we need.
A soul mate is that person who gets us for who we are with no pretences.

Who we can talk to without necessarily talking aloud
- a deep knowing. That can include romantic love or friendship.

We all long for deeper connections with others. But
its so hard to find and its a very vulnerable place to be. Its actually
difficult sometimes to let your walls down enough for someone else to really see
who you are. We have been hurt so many times that its hard to trust because if
you put your hope in someone and they let you down it really sucks. But still we
all long to be loved and to love deeply and so the search continues. The beatles
said it right 'all you need is love... love is all you need'.

A New Years Note From Natasha

Happy new year one and all!!!
Its the last year of this decade. Woohoo!!
Some of u probably caught me on the Dick Clark Rocking New Years Eve show. I love that show.
It definitely helps with the big count down.

I'm in New Zealand now. I'm here for a couple of weeks to do a bit of writing. It is such an inspiring place to write music. I love coming here as often as I can, usually once a year to fuel up on ideas for my next album.
All of my family is here. Although I was born and brought up in the UK (the reason I have a London accent), I have always felt a deep sense of belonging in New Zealand.
This is the reason I have ended up calling myself a briwi - a British kiwi.
London was always my home and I love it so much but New Zealand is my country of origin and when I'm here if feels like I get in touch with a deeper part of myself.
I like to stick my bare feet in the sand and let the ocean breeze mess up my hair. I love to go fishing with my grandad, to find out secret recipies from my two nana's, discuss life and spirituality with my other grandad. Just to be still and breath in the spectacular nature moving and alive all around.

The is no place like London either don't get me wrong. I've actually been quite intensely home sick for it in recent months. I love the innate fashion sense I see in so many people, how something is always happening. British humour, rich with its dark sarcastic comedy is something I drink in while away. Little Britain and the original office are my life lines. The long history of genius rock bands and more recently funky songwriting female singers that the UK produces have really been influencing overseas for good reason. Its been nice to discover while in the USA during this bunch of album promo that lots of people here really appreciate these things too.

I find myself this new years feeling nostalgic, grateful, hesitant for the unknown, yet hopeful, and now because of the holiday break washing off the weariness that we all feel at the years end; I am starting to feel up for new adventures. I like that feeling. Its a fresh new year. There's no knowing how it will turn out. Whether there's ups or downs I intend to ride it out like the valiant little canoe in the waves I'm looking out at right now from my house.
