Didn't end up going to the party in the end. I got off stage and collapsed into my little bunk on the tour bus. Used up my energy jumping round that stage like a mad woman tonight. It puts me to shame that here i am tired after a 35 minute set while that the whole Justin show goes on for two hours. Now that's stamina! There are some other parties coming up so I'll be able to catch up with the party mood that i missed last night.
Today I am in Lyon. We went out for the most incredible meal. And hung out at a bar afterwards. It's 2am and I'm sitting on my bed typing this. Missing home a little, which is a good appreciative kind of missing. better to miss your friends than to be sick of them :)
I'm going to sleep... but guess i just wanted to check in and say hi and let anybody that wants to know, know that all is well and ok over here and i wish you goodness and happiness.
Had another day off today which was much appreciated and treasured. Going to a Timberland party tomorrow after the gig. Will be nice to unwind to some good beats after busting my guts running round the stage.
The Justin stage, by the way, is quite big and so I'm sure I work off a whole day's worth of calories; the amount I have to run around it. It's a round stage, right in the middle of the stadium which means you have to keep turning round to connect with each part of the audience. I thought I might get a bit dizzy when I heard I'd have to perform that way but half way though the first gig I was struck by the thought that - I reckon I could do this for the rest of my life. It's so fun. What is better about the round centre stage than a conventional one is that you can see more of the audience and interact more. I think it might be better sound too. Although the great sound at these gigs could also be due to the fact that Justin's speakers and team are the best of the best. The lights and the people that design and operate them are top notch too. Some of the technology is literally ground breaking. Me and my band went out for drinks tonight at a Cuban bar. Some of the Timberlake crew joined us which was fab. It's probably why I%u2019m talking about lighting and sound too as a lot of the conversation was about this.
I wrote this last night, now it's sat and the gig is tonight. I am back stage in the dressing room getting ready. On stage in an hour and I haven't got any make up on and my hair is a mess so I better go. just wanted to touch base and let you'll know its going well.
If you're gonna have a day off, trust me, Milan is the place to have it. Perfect for shopping, people watching, eating amazing food, and chilling. All the girls on Justin's tour are having a girls night out tonight. So I'll probably pop along to that at some point. Miss Renee, Justin's manager says that the boys will probably end up coming along too as a girls night sounds a bit too much fun to miss out on.
We have been here in Milan for two days off. It's funny that with so much on offer, the only thing I have really felt like doing is vegging out. I guess it's not until you stop the momentum for a bit that you realise how much of a day off you needed. So, I know this is an absolute crime for the exotic location I'm in, but it's been mostly junk food, the simpsons and snoozing for me the last 24 hours. Ahh bliss!
This bliss was only interrupted once when my passionate love for italian coffee conflicted with my need to rest. I mistakenly had a huge mug of genuine italian cappuccino at 1am and then was completely wired awake till 5 this morning!
The tour is quite busy diary-wise with gigs most days, and always in different countries. It's perfect timing for me as I'm right in the middle of releasing my album throughout Europe. I am able to fit in quite a lot of promotion on tvs and magazines everyday. Still I'm plain sailing compared to the amount of work Justin and his Co. are doing. The gig is at least 2 hours each night with lots of dancing, energy and music. I'm very impressed with their stamina. Also quite taken by how friendly and chilled they are. Well that's it for me checking in on my day off. Hope you are all well and surviving life's little hic ups. TTFN (Ta Ta For Now) x
