I feel frustrated with Wikipedia because it's not always truth that's written there, just things that people have written. The reason it's frustrating is because people go to it as a reference and ask me interview questions based on what it says there. For example I am quoted as saying I refuse to be in men's magazines. This is just not true; I have already been in a number of them. What I have said and I'll say again is that I want to be known for my music more than for my body or what I do or don't wear. That desire is reflected in the way I am in photos.
There are other things that are not correct in there too. I think I will continue this dispelling of myths in one of my next up coming blogs! It feels like clearing up the facts is a good thing to talk about so I'll save it until next time. Also, the subject of the ups and downs of how interactive the internet is worth touching on; I'm sure you all have your own thoughts on this? Submit them, it's interesting! For example, it's so great that now everyone can make their opinion known, can make their own movies and release music without the use of a company but does it mean that now there are no experts? I'm reading some books about it at the moment. They support both sides of the argument. What's your opinion?

PS Is it true that you used to phone up the paperazzi to let them know where you were eating?? That was reported on the BBC - so I'd be more worried about these stories coz there's a couple of scarily true ones out there about you!! How long before these are on Wikipedia??

As a thinking individual, approach it with a bit of skepticism. If you're unsure about the content on any page, there's always the rest of the internet, or a library, to do a little sleuthing. You'll find out soon enough if it's right. And if it's not, and that bothers you, remember: anyone can edit Wikipedia! Go for it.

Clap, clap, clap!!
Of course that's very appealing that an artist is also fortunate to have great looks... but what we really admire is how talent fills our heart and senses.
You have given us a little more hope in good, not complicated music and full of joy.
Thanks Natasha!!
Many of us are very found of making music or composig or playing... (or that's what we think)... not always as a career...
Of course that there are experts and scouts to look for new artists!
My country lacks of time and interest to aloud the growth of new music... most of radio stations are into News and politics, TV is into gossip and mindless soap operas, "bread and circus" someone said.
Common people are mostly worried about surviving everyday's new economic crisis.
Even though, I am very, very lucky to personaly meet incredible composers and musicians here, all of them dearest friends! I hope to learn a little from them.
You we're more brave than what we choose to be, and made it through with e x c e p t i o n a l talent.
Hope to hear from you someday!
Sending you XXOO!!
Memo.
PD As i found out there are two editions of this blog, one in myspace and another one here.

Also, I love your music. It's upbeat, positive, and anyone can listen to it. There are no extra worries about sex themes, drugs, vulgar language, etc. Keep it up!

You are one of the few singers who wants to be known only for your music and not what you wear{or don't wear}. you are one of the few singers that i can watch on TV and not have to be embarrassed because there are males in the house. Thank you so much for keeping your music clean and proving that singers can make the top 40 with clean music. keep up the good work and keep singing.

2 months agomacrobody wrote... Why worry about what they write about you? You are known for your music and you know that, the fact that you have a pretty smile just helps :) I can imagine it's annoying to hear things that ain't true but that's the way it is, even when all information was right they would still keep asking stupid questions ;) Listen to the experts and take their advice to form your own opinion. Nobody can predict what will be a good song, the people will tell. That's the good thing about internet, everybody has hope on some success without the need of a company.

2 months agoadamthepainter wrote... Hi Natasha,
First let me say, I think your voice cuts through a mix like no other. I can only imagine how strong it must be live. Congrats!
Regarding your question about experts... in my opinion, an expert opinion is still only an opinion.
Ebert and Roeper might hate a movie that I love for example. The same way a record exec might hate a challenging melody that you love. Or in my world, a 'prestigious' gallery owner or movie exec might not work with a newer artist because he/she doesn't have an established patronage and a huge going rate.
The amount of value people place in an expert's opinion will vary.. and I believe the great music and art will most likely get attention, at some point.
I don't know much about you, but from what I've heard you stand out musically above anything else. It's refreshing to hear that you're not caught up on image.
Bravo!

But it's better that way than to be only a good looking or person or - in your case - only a brilliant singer. And it's definitely better than being completely untalented. So, no reason to worry, just to be happy!
