I've had a lovely week off from tour in Santa Monica. There's nothing like the ocean breeze for the inspiration it blows the soul. I love it! So yesterday I went to the hotel café and saw Terra Naomi play. She is wonderful. Check out her Myspace. Her Incredible voice is matched by her likable personality and her lyrics are deep!
I'm getting the writing bug again. When I get off tour I always feel like I wake up from some sort of world I've been dreaming.Touring, fun as it is, takes up a lot of energy because of the amount of work it takes to adjust to the different places you find yourself in from day to day. It's harder to stay in touch with what's happening everywhere else in the world. I'm just explaining why its been so long since I last blogged.
I'm very glad that one of my favourite new bands, The Script, is doing so well in the UK charts. Congrats to them and look out for them if you haven't heard them already.
Other Albums to check out if you get the urge:
Brooke Fraser: Albertine. It's incredible music.
Sia: Some People Have Real Problems. She's excellent
Jessica Simpson: Do You Know. I'm not joking, look out for this one. I heard some of her new album and I was blown away. Country music is what Jess should have been doing all along. When she sings these songs you feel them.
Coldplay: Viva la Vida. I love this new album.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: 'CRAZY ONES'
Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
We make tools for these kinds of people. While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

BTW, here's a part of the new song All Hope Is Gone, but in my take: It's time I make this wedding obsolete. What does he want? What do you need? I'll stop this now because ALL HOPE IS GONE!! You talked about your boyfriend for 2 weeks, It made me so mad I can't even speak! You'll end this yourself because ALL HOPE IS GONE!!

I also am a big fan of your brother! I love how you write music about what people are going through and each of your songs is full of truth and meaning. You and your brother"s music has got me through so much and for that I thank you so much and can not wait to see you perform again. Take care and much more blessings, Melissa Salazar(aka LyssMarie) myspace.com/bluefairyphoto

It's so strange / When I' m in love with you / The girl I've never been face to face with / Even you don't know my existence in this life / Don't know my name / Don't know who I am...oh no, oh no... I ONLY LOVE YOU. **2. Everynight / I wish I could dream of you / And at the night, in my dream, I see you / You're so beautiful / You're like the sun / The sun is shining / I am being dazzled by that sun... oh yeah, oh yeah... I JUST CAN FEEL YOU. "( Chorus )" : HOW CAN I LOVE YOU / When you are the sun / And I am just like a bird / A bird is being hurt / HOW CAN I LOVE YOU / When you are the sky / While I am a bird with a broken wing / Is falling down on the end of the abyss..ooh ohh.. / HOW CAN I LOVE YOU / If you just can be in my dream. HOW CAN I LOVE A DREAM..no no. ** I wake up and I burst into tears / When I realize you're not here / You'll never be with me... forever / There is one thing to say that I am sorry for loving you / I'm sorry / I'm sorry.*** These lyrics are based on my honest feeling. Maybe it's not good, but that's all I want to tell you. LOVE YOU MUCH !! ( my English is not well, please excuse my fault in gramma). ( *;* ) .

Pirate Bones touchs me the greatest in my lifes pursuits. 6 years has been such a long time since that back alley show in Claremont, I knew then you were gifted and special, now I am glad the whole world can get your flavor. Finally smashed through the dirty window, can't catch any of your tour , the Lord knows I would if I could send out prayers for me ma. Hay Missoula is not too far off the beaten path,if you eventually have the time to commit a musical crime maybe a song in Montana wouldn't hurt. Thank you expresses more than I could everr try to say in flowery tongue and lyrical ways. I am looking forward to more, you are my muse .
